The World of Cars event was a success yesterday as many of the stars came out to celebrate the launch of the brand new game.  The event drew fans of all ages to Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, CA, including voices from the Cars animated film Cheech Marin and Jenifer Lewis, along with celebrity fans Tori Spelling, Chloe Bridges, Bradley Steven Perry, Allisyn Ashley Arm, Melissa Joan Hart, Joey Lawrence, Taylor Spreitler, Nick Robinson and many more!  Even Walt Disney Company President and CEO Roberg Iger made a rare special appearance at the event.  We send down JAM and Natalia to cover the big event and bring YOU the scoop on this fun new game!  (Keep reading for more details)

Nickelodeon and Columbia Records announced the release date for the upcoming Big Time Rush debut album titled "B.T.R." The highly anticipated album will be released on October 11, 2010 and in celebration of the release band members Kendall Schmidt, Jason Maslow, Carlos Pena and Logan Henderson will make their network TV debut with a performance on The Today Show. The album will consist of original songs from the series, including their current hit "City Is Ours." Fans can catch a glipse at some of the music this weekend in New York City where the band will be performing during Macy's Back-to-School concert series (details on that event here) this Sunday, August 15th. Jason Castro won over millions of viewers as a contestant on the seventh season of American Idol, parlaying his substantial singer-songwriter appeal into a third-place runner-up finish. He may not have won the competition, but the 23-year-old Texan earned himself a devoted fan base.  After releasing his debut self-titled album and touring all over the country, Jason has gained insight into the world of music which made him the perfect candidate as the judge of a new singing competition.  Jason will sit on the judging panel for the first annual Kidz Star USA Talent Search put on by the popular Kidz Bop crew. Aspiring young singers aged 15 and younger are encouraged to submit a :90 second video performance to KidzStarUSA.com. The winner of the competition will win a recording contract, a starring role in their own music video and a special appearance in the Kidz Bop TV Commercial. Fans will have an opportunity to cast their votes online for the favorite contestants to determine the semi-finalists and the grand prize winner.

Taylor Swift is probably the most decorated country pop star of her generation earning some of the top titles at a variety of different awards ceremonies includeing the Kids Choice Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Grammys, American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, Young Hollywood Awards, Peoples Choice Awards, just to name a few.  In fact, Taylor has received so many awards (66) and nominations (100) that the "Awards" section of her Wikipedia biography needed its own page!  Just when you thought there wasn't an accolade that Taylor hasn't already received in comes another.  By popular vote, Taylor has been inducted to the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame beating out friend and fellow musician Justin Bieber by approximately 5,000 votes, winning with a total of 613,324.  The nomination came shortly after Taylor was spotted earlier this year at the local Studio City hot spot Pinz with celebrity bff's Selena Gomez and Cory Monteith. Congratulations Taylor!

Teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber made a brief appearance in Nashville, Tennessee yesterday to perform at the Bridgestone Arena (formerly the Sommet Center).  CMT.com reports that during Justin's soundcheck he was asked who are some of his favorite country music artists and surprised the interviewer by quickly responding with names like Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride and Alan Jackson.  Shortly after reeling out his faves, Justin performed the first verse of Alan Jackson's hit single "Chattahoochee," a song which topped country music charts a year before he was born. The dates for the 2011 CMA Music Festival were announced this morning. Until recently, the annual festival was best known to fans and artists as Fan Fair which was established in 1972, and over the years it has become the largest fan gathering of country music fans in the world. The Country Music Association is promising that 2011 will feature many great surprises and special events to celebrate the anniversary, which will be held in Nashville, TN Thursday through Sunday, June 9-12, 2011. The infamous four-day ticket packages will go on sale on August 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM/CDT through Ticketmaster.com. These passes will allow fans admission to all four nightly concerts as well as entry into the Nashville Convention Center for artist meet and greets and early admission into the Riverfront Stage. You may want to consider purchasing your tickets to the event early this year as the 2010 tickets sold out prior to the festival. 

Zac Efron attended the final night of the musical theatre production of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl where girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens was playing the contraversial role of Mimi Marquez.  Halfway through the first act, Vanessa took the stage to perform a provacative dance number during "Out Tonight."  One viewer told us that Vanessa made eye contact several times with Zac, who was seated in the front row during the performance.  In the middle of Vanessa's dance routine, Zac hopped up out of his seat to give his leading lady a tip, and it wasn't an informational tip rather a gratuity tip that one would leave at a restuarant when the server did a good job!  It is rumored that Zac slipped Vanessa a $20 dollar bill, which she welcomed and put down the front of her shirt.  One of the theatre goers captured the moment on video, check it out below.

Disney's "The World of Cars" interactive game launch is underway right now in Burbank, CA where several stars showed up to be one of the first to test drive this fun game!  We bumped into several of your favorites on the red carpet including Bradley Perry, Ryan Newman, Allisyn Ashley Arm, Taylor Spreitler, Melissa Joan Hart, Nick Robinson, Chloe Bridges and many others are currently parking their cars at the event!  Check out this photo that Allisyn Ashley Arm tweeted of her posing with Ryan Newman and her sister Jessica Newman!
